January 16, 2025 Sanchez Sets Tone in Eastern Connecticut Win CASTLETON, Vt. – Sophomore forward Julian Sanchez (Willimantic) set the tone with 15 points and eight rebounds in the first half, and sophomore guards Esco Greene (New Britain) and Elijah Jean-Guillaume (New Haven) helped the Warriors maintain the momentum by scoring ten points each in the second half to lift the Eastern Connecticut State University men’s basketball team to a 75-65 Little East Conference victory over VTSU Castleton Thursday afternoon at Glenbrook Gymnasium.
January 14, 2025 Eastern Connecticut Drops LEC Decision WILLIMANTIC, Conn.- The Little East Conference’s top-ranked defense was no match for the conference’s No. 1 offense Tuesday night, as Keene State College (86.9 ppg.) soared past the Eastern Connecticut State University (62.6 ppg. allowed) in men’s basketball team Tuesday evening, 99-61, the three-time defending conference champions downing the Warriors for the seventh straight time.

WILLIMANTIC, Conn. – The Western Connecticut State University men’s basketball team used an effective full court press through the game to record 18 steals and turn 28 Eastern Connecticut State University turnovers into 32 points as the Wolves raced to a 78-67 Little East Conference victory over Eastern Connecticut State University Wednesday afternoon at Francis E. Geissler Gymnasium.
January 4, 2025 Eastern Conn. Remains Hot on the Road DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Junior point guard Michael Carothers (Queens, NY) sank three free throws in the final 45 seconds as the Eastern Connecticut State University men’s basketball team built a ten-point lead with six minutes left that proved to be just enough to hold off the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, 68-66, in a Little East Conference game Saturday afternoon at the Tripp Athletic Center.

Stifles Seahawks in Invite Final; Julian Named Most Outstanding WILLIMANTIC, Conn. – Julian Sanchez (Willimantic) and Dominick Dao (Terryville) combined for 44 points on 73.1 percent shooting from the floor but it was a suffocating defense which cut St. Mary’s College of Maryland field goal shooting in half from its first-round Sunday victory as the Eastern Connecticut State University men’s basketball team rolled to a 72-45 victory in the title game of the Eastern Holiday Invitational Monday afternoon at Francis E. Geissler Gymnasium.
